Volunteering is a great opportunity to create career connections and serve your professional organization.

Attending AzLA is great way to meet fellow library professionals, learn about recent innovations and ideas for libraries, and to be inspired by guest speakers and presenters. Being a volunteer at AzLA is another way to benefit from the fantastic opportunities that this meeting offers.

Volunteers serve at the registration table, raffle table, or complete other tasks to ensure the meeting runs smoothly. All instructions needed for each of these tasks are provided to volunteers and take only a small window of time to complete. Many hands make light work, so recruit your friends to help out beside you.

And drum roll…the BONUS is that that if you are selected to volunteer, then your Conference Registration fee will be waived, including lunches on Thursday and Friday of the Conference. There will be no lunch served on Wednesday of the Conference.

2017 AzLA Conference Volunteer Application

This year, volunteering at the AZLA conference has been restructured in an effort to streamline planning and scheduling processes. Volunteers chosen this year must be available to work for 3-4 hours each day of the conference (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). Shifts might be scheduled as early as 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25th through 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 27th.

If chosen as a volunteer, you must also attend a virtual orientation with the AzLA Conference Volunteer Coordinator, Christine Dykgraaf, before you are eligible to work your hours at conference. In exchange for your volunteer commitment, you will receive full conference registration including lunches. This does not include mileage or hotel expenses.
